Efforts for Ethnic Group: SAC Members Meet With Lisu Ethnic Group

Members of the State Administration Council (SAC), union ministers and many other high ranking officials made a visit to Myitkyina of Kachin State on Sunday.

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and many other concerned officials welcomed them and presented traditional gifts. Members of the State Administration Council, the union ministers and officials met with members of the Myanmar Lisu Literature and Culture Central Committee at the Myitkyina Lisu Culture Ground.

 In the meeting, respective speeches were made and a report on requirments for the Myanmar Lisu Literature and Culture Central Committee was followed. After the meeting, Lisu Traditional Meal named ‘Za Zaw’ was provided to the members of the State Administration Council, the union ministers and officials.

Also, a Lisu traditional performance named ‘Kwa Chel’ was staged before the members of the State Administration Council, the union ministers and officials provided cash assistance to the Myanmar Lisu Literature and Culture Central Committee.

This visit included inspections of the construction of Ayeyawaddy River-Crossing Bridge No. 2, library of Myitkyina University and construction of a swimming stadium in Myitkyina.
