Efforts for Electrification: Repair of damaged tower, check and maintenance

For the convenience of the public, the damaged the 230-KB Mansan -Shwe Sar Yan double circuit power line tower No. 613, located near the mile post No. 17 of the Mandalay-Pyin Oo Lwin highway, is under repair. 

The double circuit power line tower No. 613 was damaged due to the strong wind and the repairing procedures are being undertaken with 105 departmental staff. 

Htaung Zoe Khaing, Dy. Director General, Dept. Electric Power Transmission & System Control said "After pulling down the old tower, erecting the new tower, resetting power lines and laying the new foundation will be made within 4 days, so the repair process is set till the 2nd of August. Meanwhile, the electricity generation will be slightly less than the original 100 MGW. "

During the repair of the tower No. 613, check and maintenance processes are also being undertaken for the other towers along the power line. As a main one, this power line carries the electricity from the power lines through main sub-stations in various areas and makes electricity distribution.

Electric Power Transmission & System Control said "In Mandalay, electricity is distributed around through sub-stations such as Shwe Sar Yan and Aung Pin Lal, Myauk Pyin and Ta Gon Daing. The main sub-stations are in different townships and the power lines are being inspected on a regular schedule. "
