Efforts for Education and Health : Schools opening and healthcare continue in Thipaw

In Thipaw Township, Shan State (North), the Government, the Tatmadaw, and the public have collaboratively and vigorously strived to reopen schools so that students can resume their education as quickly as possible.

Basic Education High School No. (1), in Thipaw was reopened on October 22, Basic Education Post Primary School No. (2), and Basic Education Primary School No. (7), were reopened on October 24 and today on October 25, Basic Education High School No. (3), was also reopened.

It has been learned that, to date, four basic education schools have been successfully reopened. Student enrollment continues at these schools and on October 25, an additional 101 students were enrolled, bringing the total number of attending students to 1,331, who are now peacefully learning.

Alongside enrollment, students are provided with free textbooks, writing materials, and supplies from the Ministry of Education. Furthermore, the Public Health Department vaccinated 140 school-aged students under 15 years old, and relevant officials addressed necessary requirements.

Additionally, at the Basic Education High School No. (2), and the Basic Education High School Branch (Baw Kyo , Tatmadaw members, Myanmar Police Force members, Fire Service members, departmental staff, and local residents collaboratively carried out collective cleaning activities inside and outside the school compounds and in the classrooms.

Moreover, necessary healthcare services are being provided to local ethnic people at the Thipaw People's Hospital. On this day, the necessary healthcare services were provided to 16 outpatients and 2 patients requiring hospitalization. Furthermore, Tatmadaw mine clearance teams continue to carry out mine clearance operations in government offices and public areas frequently used by people in Thipaw.

It is also reported that security force members continue to perform territorial security and control duties to ensure stability, long-term development, and the peaceful socio-economic livelihoods of local ethnic people.
