Efforts For Drug Elimination: CCDAC Held Its Meeting 1/2021 Held

Chairman of Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control, SAC member, Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt. Gen. Soe Htut attended the committee meeting 1/2021 on December 21 at Areindama hall of the Myanmar Police Force Headquarters, Nay Pyi Taw.

At the meeting, the central committee chairman union minister said that the problems caused by the narcotic drugs facing in Myanmar are the remaining cultivation areas of opium, presence of producing heroin, increase of producing Synthetic Drugs such as ICE (Methamphetamine), cross-border trafficking drug precursor chemicals and delivering to sell and the surging of follow up impacts relating to the drug abuse and online marketing, the deterring and containment of illegal chemicals trafficked through border area begin important to mitigate the production of narcotic drugs, as the drug problem deters the development of the country, the cooperation with the sense of obligation by each and everybody assuming as national task is needed. Next, the secretary of centrl committee deputy minister and chief of Myanmar Police Force Lt. Gen. Than Hlaing, joint-secretary reported the efforts for the prevention and containment of narcotic drugs. The union minister supplemented the requirements and suggestions given by the attendees regarding with the drug elemination tasks and gave a speech of conclusion.
