Education sector: Coordination meeting on basic education sector held

Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe held a coordination meeting with the regions and states education head officers of the department of basic education at the meeting hall of the department office No (13), Ministry of Education, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 30th November.

First, the union minister Dr. Nyunt Pe said that thanks to the cooperation of the senior education officers from the regions and states for the development of the basic education sector, the basic education, even though it cannot be said cent per cent success, achieved great success.

For every country, the development of basic education sector is paramount important. The good basic education sector will bring the good foundation of the country. It must be implemented to study compulsory basic education of KG+9 by each and every citizen.

Due to the united effort of the teachers in basic education sector, over 7.23 million students are studying at the schools peacefully in this academic year. Even though, there are some requirements and difficulties, the teachers in basic education sector are very thankful and honored for their exerted efforts with loyalty.

All are urged to discuss prioritizing the essential needs for the development of the basic education sector. Next, the deputy minister U Zaw Win discussed the processes to be implemented regarding with the basic education sector in detail.

Then, the director general of the department of basic education U Kyaw Swer Thwin discussed the meeting was continued in line with the agenda and the attendees discussed the relevant administrative, financial and educational matters.
