Education Sector: CM attends Dawei University fresher welcome ceremony

Tanintharyi Region Chief Minster U Myat Ko on Tuesday attended the fresher welcome ceremony of the Dawei University. There, the Chief Minister also viewed booths on dispaly by the university’s departments and enjoyed performances by students.

And, the Chief Minister said in accordance with the nation’s educational expectations, Dawei University is an academic center that provides training and education to acquire the 21st century academic skills in order to increase knowledge, thinking, and reasoning.

To achieve quality and higher education, the Government appoints quality teachers, provides training, arranges for collaborative research and provides employment opportunities for students. The Chief Minister also urged the students to try hard to achieve success in life and to become experts who can help in building a peaceful and modern developed country.

The Ceremony continued with stage performances and the Chief Minister provided 1 million Kyats for the University.
