Education Promotion: School Enrollment Day in Hakha

Chin State held School Enrollment Day Ceremony for 2026–2027 academic year in Hakha on May 29.

Chief Minister Dr. Vung Suan Thang attended the State-Level event and encouraged all school-age children to enroll in school and continue their education at least up to Grade 9. He also called for cooperation among parents, teachers, local authorities, and communities to support children's education.

The government distributed free textbooks, notebooks, pencils, pens, and school uniforms to students as part of its free basic education program. Outstanding students from the previous academic year were also honored with awards. The ceremony concluded with performances by students and an inspection of school enrollment and educational support activities.
