Early election held in Viet Nam’s Truong Sa Special Zone

As Vietnam gears up for the election day on March 15th, early voting for the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils for the 2026–2031 term held in Truong Sa Special Zone. In that special zone, 20 polling stations across the islands are receiving ballots, one week before the nationwide vote.

Due to the Trường Sa Special Zone’s harsh weather conditions, holding the vote early helps ensure the national election schedule is met, while accommodating the duties and combat readiness of forces.
