e-Visa Service: Business e-Visa Service Resumed From 1st April

Myanmar will resume its electronic visa service for business purposes starting from 1 April 2022 following the health guidelines of the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry of Immigration and Population held a meeting at 10 am on 4 April regarding the resumption of online e-Visa service. First, Union Minister U Khin Yi stated that Myanmar is granting ordinary passport holders from 100 countries and China (Taipei) e-Visas for tourist purposes, and from 54 countries and China (Taipei) e-Visas for business. The COVID-19 outbreak stopped the service on 20 March 2020.

As the COVID-19 situation is under control and the detection of the cases is dropping, international passenger flights are reportedly allowed to enter the country from 17 April. The ministry will also resume its e-Visa service for business from 1 April 2022. Next, he gave the remark to announce the information of the COVID-19 business travel requirements for the travellers who will arrive on 17 April and notify the -Visa applicants of the necessary documents.

Then, the MoH deputy minister discussed the documents submitted to the central committee for the COVID-19 rules and regulations and travel requirements for those travellers who will come to Myanmar with relief flights and regular passenger flights.

After that, Director-General of the Financial Regulatory Department, Managing Director of the Myanma Insurance, Director-General of the Consular and Legal Affairs Department and officials concerned discussed health insurance and travel requirements, insurance policies, entry visa at the Myanmar embassies abroad, accommodation and quarantine rules and the suggestions for e-Visa service respectively.

Finally, the Union minister instructed the officials to fulfill the requirements. He delivered the closing remark concerning the notice for the travellers and e-Visa service for business.
