E-ASEAN Youth Volunteer Programme: To be held online from 27 June to 8 July

The E-ASEAN Youth Volunteer Programme-E-AYVPwill be held online from 27 June to 8 July this year.

The ASEAN Youth Volunteer Programme is a youth community leadership programme that mobilises young volunteers to work with communities in developing innovative solutions to the social, cultural, economic and environmental challenges of the region while forging a sense of ASEAN identity.

The Programme will be jointly organized by theUniversitiKebangsaan Malaysia – The National University of Malaysia (UKM), and Chiang Mai University (CMU) in collaboration with the Association for University Social Engagement Thailand (EnT) and the U2T programme, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) which focus on Targeted Poverty Alleviation.

Youths from the ASEAN member states and its three dialogue partner countries who meet the criteria are invited to join the program.           

Director, Department of Youth Affairs, Aye Min Nyunt said “The programme invites youth representatives between the age of 18 and 30 from ASEAN member states and the ASEAN+3 countries who have proficiency in English and volunteering experiences and who can develop the development and poverty alleviation programmes that will benefit the community. They also must have leadership experiences and interest in helping the community.”
