Drugs Seized: Heroin Worth Over 470 Million Kyats Arrested

The Heroin worth over 470 million kyats was arrested in Panglong Township, Shan State (South), according to the Myanmar Police Force.

Acting on a tip-off, the combined forces including the members of Anti-Narcotics Task Force inspected a vehicle on the Panglong-LeChar road near Nammalin  village, Panglong Township, Shan State (South), at 3 p.m. on January 3, driven by Myint Aung. A search of the vehicle turned up 39.38 Kilos of heroin valued at over 470 million kyat.

According to the investigation, the seized heroins were carried to transport to Mandalay Region from Shan State (South). The suspects were charged under the Law and the investigations are underway to capture the rest of the suspects, according Myanmar Police Force.
