
The stimulant tablets worth 300 million Kyats were seized in Taungyi Township, Shan State (South), according to the source of Myanmar police Force. While the combined forces including the members of Anti-Narcotics Task Force were conducting a surprise check near KaungKha Village on Taunggyi-Mai Pyin Road, Taunggyi Township at 5 p.m. on 28th May, the combined force made a stop of Vigo motor vehicle driven heading to Taunggyi from Mai Pyin, but the driver drove away the vehicle.
After pursuing by the combined forces with the arrangements of necessary closures, the driver left the vehicle at the edge of forest about 15 miles apart from KaungKha Village. When the combined forces searched the vehicle and arrested 600,000 stimulant tablets worth 300 million Kyats.
The combined forces are investigating the suspect to arrest and take legal action under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, it’s learnt.
