Drug Seizure: Over 1 billion kyats worth heroin seized in Mandalay

Over 1 billion kyats worth heroin have been seized in PyiGyiTagun Township in Mandalay Region, according to Myanmar Police Force. On December 29th, the combined team of Anti-Drug Unit, acting on a tip-off, stopped and searched the 12-wheeler, and seized 41.8 kilos of heroin which was transported from northern Shan State. The case has been filed a lawsuit, and the investigation is underway.
