Drug seized: 77.5 kilos of heroin arrested in Yamethin

A combined team of security members confiscated 77.5 kilos of heroin while searching a vehicle driven by Aung Myo Hter @ Nge Nge together with a companion running from Shwe Myin Tin to Yamethin at the Thin Pan Kone junction on Yamethin-ShweMyin Tin motor road in Yamethin Township, Mandalay region on 20th July.

According to the investigation, 2 culprits who are in-charges in carrying the heroin and 6 others who involved in transporting the seized heroin together with 0.02 kilo of heroin and 3 vehicles at the guest house in ShwePyaTha ward in Yamethin.

The security members seized a total of 77.52 kilos of heroin worth over 1.93 billion kyats and these heroin have been transported to Mandalay Region via Shan State (South. Actions are taken against the culprits and investigations are underway to expose those who involve in the crime.
