Discussion on Social Welfare: MoSWRR Union Minister received delegation of RMAFC

The Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thet Thet Khine received a delegation led by project manager of Russia-Myanmar Association for Friendship and Cooperation at the ministry on Friday.

During the meeting, the ministry clarified the  social services providing by the ministry, disaster management tasks and the resettlement and rehabilitation works for the disaster-hit-people who need social requirements and they exchanged views on the vital role of the volunteers in responding natural disasters and COVID-19 pandemic, willingness to study the volunteers’ collective effort system in Russia, exchange programs between Myanmar and Russia, the status of opening Myanmar Disaster Response Team training for the rapid response by the time of occurring natural disasters and the requirement to establish a Social Work Institute.
