Digitalization of Industrial Russia : MOST UM attended opening ceremony of the forum

Union Minister for Science and Technology, Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw, attended the opening ceremony of the 11th "Digitalization of Industrial Russia (2026)" Forum, held from May 18 to May 22 in Nizhny Novgorod, Russian Federation.

At the ceremony, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mr. Mikhail Mishustin, delivered the opening address. Officials and experts from Russia's major industrial sectors presented and discussed the use of digital technologies in their respective industries, as well as future undertakings.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister participated in a discussion panel titled "The Speed Race: Is Defense Keeping Pace with Threats?" Discussions were held with experts, entrepreneurs, and officials from Russia and other countries regarding the capacity to withstand and optimally respond to the risks of cyber technology threats—a major global challenge currently menacing the entire world.

Tuesday morning, the Union Minister met with the Security Code Company, a Russian Federation firm specializing in IT security software and hardware manufacturing. They discussed potential collaboration in sharing modern security technologies at universities in Myanmar and exploring opportunities to cooperate in Myanmar's digital technology transformation processes.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited the IT Campus of NEIMARK University—a venue established as part of the Russian government's "Digital Economy" national project, designed to enable the technology sector to compete internationally. He met with responsible officials and discussed matters concerning the development of human resources in information and communication technology, potential joint research collaborations, and the exchange of educators and students, it’s reported.
