











With the national objectives of All ethnic nationals to safeguard non-disintegration of the Union, national unity and sovereignty forever; To perpetually ensure strengthening dynamic Union Spirit which is a genuine patriotic spirit; To further strive for the perpetual existence of the country through strong and united strength of all ethnic national brethren; To build the Union based on democracy and federalism in the realization of genuine, disciplined multiparty democracy; and To equalize development of all regions and states while making efforts for the enhancement of health, education and job opportunities of the ethnic nationals, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar celebrated the Diamond Jubilee Union Day 2022 with the State flag hoisting ceremony and grand military review, in Nay Pyi Taw, Saturday.
Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and members so also the invited guests and national races representatives from the Region and States saluted the Union Flag which was conveyed by the special Union Float. The Union Flag had been kept at the Yangon City Hall since 2016 and it was conveyed to Nay Pyi Taw to mark the Diamond Jubilee Union Day.
On the occasion, all those present saluted the Union Flag while the State Band played the national anthem. After the gun salute, all those present took the Four Oaths to safeguard the nation's independence and work for the development of the country.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing delivered an address recounting the grand military reviews held by successive presidents in the post independence period and to remind the people of their responsibility to safeguard the sovereignty and called for cooperation of all stakeholders for peace and development of the Union.
After that, the Organizing Committee Chairman handed over the Union Flag to the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman for the conveyance by Union Float.
Next, the Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing was marched pass and saluted by various parade columns of the defence services army, navy and air, military bands so also parade columns of Myanmar Police Force, red cross, fire brigade, government departments, representatives from regions and states, and choppers and fighter crafts from the defence services (air) hovered the air space in groups.
