







Deputy Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Sai Tun Nyo visited the Union National Races Village in Yangon on May 15, to review ongoing development work.
He met with officials, staff, and business operators involved in the multi-sector upgrade project, emphasizing that the Union National Races Village represents national unity and cultural preservation. He urged staff to maintain traditional houses, heritage, and the environment while providing educational and cultural opportunities for visitors.
He also encouraged transparency in project implementation and effective coordination among responsible authorities. Officials presented progress reports and plans for the 2026–2027 fiscal year, and the Deputy Minister provided guidance to ensure successful completion of all development activities.
The visit included inspections of traditional homes, bridges, and staff housing, with direct engagement with visitors and staff to promote awareness of ethnic culture and heritage.
