Deserve Recognition: President honors outstanding student youths

President U Min Aung Hlaing attended the ceremony to honor outstanding student youths who have excelled at the 2026 Matriculation Examination and the Industrial, Agricultural, and Livestock Matriculation Examination, held at the Naypyitaw State Academy on 31st August.

Initially, the ceremony was commenced with the salute to the flag of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Next, the group dance of students was performed with the song "Stars of the Nation, Elevated by Education." On the occasion, the President delivered an opening address stating that high capacity and qualification of educated student youths are crucial as they can build the nation into a modern, prosperous society that stands with dignity.

He highlighted that when striving toward a modern and developed country, essential qualities include citizens' intellectual wealth, sound foundation of good morale, innovative capacity, so also appreciation to the cultural values and national heritage. The President congratulated the student youths and urged them to stay informed with the rapidly changing global developments and to engage more in science and technology-based entrepreneurship.

He also assured that the State will actively support the student youths while rendering effective assistance in all sectors. It was followed by the prize distribution where the President presented awards to outstanding students who secured the highest scores nationwide in the science stream of the 2026 Matriculation Examination.

Subsequently, Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi, Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe, and Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services General Ye Win Oo also distributed prizes to the outstanding students. The Union Ministers and officials also presented awards to the outstanding students. On behalf of outstanding students, one of the student youths expressed gratitude for the support and acknowledgement to their achievements. Then, students performed a song entitled "Let's Honor Those Outstanding Ones." After the ceremony, the President and attendees joined the luncheon in honor of the award-winning student youths.
