Dengue Fever Prevention: Campaign to eradicate mosquito & larva in Zabuthiri Tsp.

A campaign to eradicate mosquito and larva is being conducted at the Staff Housing in Zabuthiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council.

On August 6th, Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win and officials inspected the work undertakings and instructed for systematic implementation of the tasks and participation of the staff families in the activities.

The campaign is scheduled to be held for two days on August 6 and 7 at over 2,100 staff housings of the Union Level Organizations and Ministries to prevent from infection of dengue fever and mostique-borne diseases. The campaign is being carried out with 50 groups for adding Abate Powder and 10 groups for spraying insecticide.

Staff from the Public Health Department in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation and Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association took part in the campaign. Coordination will be made to carry out the campaign in other areas of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.
