Named “ĐắkLắk Tuna – The Essence of Longline Fishing”, the Vietnamese event honors longline fishing techniques and the fishermen behind one of the region’s most valuable marine industries. An evening performance traced the shift from traditional nearshore fishing to modern tuna longlining, an innovation pioneered by PhúYên fishermen that later spread nationwide.

The practice is now seen as a symbol of resilience and ingenuity, supporting the region’s identity and sustainable growth as its tuna reaches global markets. Over the three-day event, visitors can enjoy exhibitions, live tuna cooking demonstrations, and seafood showcases.
