






Leading Committee for Organizing the 27th Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition held its work coordination meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.
Patron of the Committee Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye attended the meeting and made a speech. She said Myanmar traditional singing, dancing, dramatic performance and music are valuable intangible cultural heritage that reflect the country’s culture, traditions and way of life.
She stressed the importance of preserving these traditions and passing them on to younger generations amid rapid technological development and global cultural exchanges. She said the competition is not only about winning or losing, but also aims to discover new artists, promote traditional arts and strengthen appreciation of Myanmar’s national culture.
She also called for clear competition rules, fair and professional judging, and careful assessment of contestants’ abilities. The Vice President urged all to work together to ensure the successful organizing of the 27th competition, reflecting Myanmar’s cultural identity and artistic traditions. The meeting discussed the plans for competition and awarding, work implementation and future process.
