
The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.
The Ministry reported 92 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Friday after testing 14,948 lab specimens within 24 hours. 112 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. As of April 8, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 612,224 with 19,434 deaths and 590,666 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Italy, Republic of Korea and Turkey, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 7:01 pm CEST on 8 April, there have been over 494 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.170 million deaths.
