
The Ministry of Health reported 83 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Friday after testing 10,092 lab specimens within 24 hours. One COVID-19 positive patient has died while 138 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 533,815 with 19,308 deaths and 511,936 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 68.19 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, The United Kingdom, France, Russian Federation, Turkey, Italy, Spain and Germany according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:55 p.m. Central European Time on January 21st, 2022, there have been over 340.54 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.57 million deaths, reported to WHO.
