COVID-19 Update: 56 New COVID-19 Cases Reported On April 19

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 56 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Tuesday after testing 10,345 lab specimens within 24 hours.

134 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. As of April 19th, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 612,658 with 19,434 deaths and 591,507 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, the Republic of Korea, Italy, and Turkey, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:40 pm CEST on 19 April, there have been over 503 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.2 million deaths.
