COVID-19 Update: 43 new COVID-19 cases reported on July 23

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 43 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Saturday after testing 5,461 patients within 24 hours. At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while 12 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 613,940 with 19,434 deaths and 592,789 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention.
