COVID-19 Update: 360 New Cases with 2 Deaths Reported on March 22

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 360 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Tuesday after testing 14,958 lab specimens within 24 hours.

2 patients have died due to the disease while 657 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 609,648 with 19,427 deaths and 565,813 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Russian Federation, Turkey, Italy and Spain, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:27 pm CET on 22 March, there have been over 470 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.09 million deaths.
