COVID-19 Update: 261 New Cases Reported on March 24

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 261 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 12,244 lab specimens within 24 hours. 463 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 610,176 with 19,428 deaths and 566,838 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Russian Federation, Turkey, Italy and Spain, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 6:58 pm CET on 24 March, there have been over 474 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.1 million deaths.
