COVID-19 Update: 229 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On December 15

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 229 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 17,200 patients within 24 hours. 4 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 388 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 527,503 with 19,197 deaths and 504,178 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Germany, Iran and Spain, according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 5:58pm CET, 15 December 2021, there have been over 270 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.31 million deaths.
