COVID-19 Update: 21 new cases with 1 death reported on November 23

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 21 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 7,066 patients within 24 hours.

At the time of the report, there’s 1 patient who died due to the disease while 43 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 633,096 with 19,488 deaths and 607,538 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, France, Germany, Brazil, the Republic of Korea, Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan and the Russian Federation, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:39pm CET, 23 November 2022, there have been over 635 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.6 million deaths.
