
The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.
The Ministry reported 20 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 5,866 lab specimens within 24 hours. 53 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. As of April 14th, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 612,480 with 19,434 deaths and 591,192 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Republic of Korea, Italy and Turkey, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 8:36 pm CEST on 14 April, there have been over 500 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.19 million deaths.
