COVID-19 Update: 19 new COVID-19 Cases Reported On April 20

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 19 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 9,274 lab specimens within 24 hours.

15 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. As of April 20th, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 612,677 with 19,434 deaths and 591,522 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, the Republic of Korea, Italy, and Turkey, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:50 pm CEST on 20 April, there have been over 504 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.204 million deaths.
