COVID-19 Update: 18 New COVID-19 Cases Reported On July 28

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 18 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 6,198 patients within 24 hours, and 17 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 614,009 with 19,434 deaths and 592,865 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Republic of Korea, Russian Federation and Turkiye , Spain and Japan according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 6:34pm CEST, 28 July 2022, there have been over 571 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.38 million deaths.
