COVID-19 Update: 177 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on January 7

The Ministry of Health reported 177 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Friday after testing 13,999 lab specimens within 24 hours. 4 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 157 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 531,801 with 19,288 deaths and 509,757 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff andeveryone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
