COVID-19 Update: 172 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On January 13

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 172 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 10,823 patients within 24 hours. 1 COVID-19 positive patients has died while 77 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 532,725 with 19,298 deaths and 510,883 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, France, Russian Federation, Turkey, Italy, Spain and Germany, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 4:19pm CET, 13 January 2022, there have been over 315 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.5 million deaths.
