COVID-19 Update: 130 New Cases With 1 Death Reported on March 27

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 130 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Sunday after testing 10,099 patients within 24 hours. 1 patient has died due to the disease while 404 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 610,858 with 19,430 deaths and 568,349 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention.
