COVID-19 Update: 110 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on December 26

The Ministry of Health reported 110 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Sunday after testing 7,552 lab specimens within 24 hours. 3 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 175 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 529,613 with 19,254 deaths and 507,210 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

COVID-19 vaccine is being injected to those of priority groups in regions and states for prevention and control of the disease. Up to 25th December, 2021, a total of over 20.42 million people have been vaccinated. Of them, over 14.64 million people have been vaccinated two times and over 5.7 million people once. Therefore, a total of 35 million doses of COVID-19 jabs have been vaccinated.

The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
