Covid-19 Surveillance: 2 Positive Patients Die On Wednesday

The Ministry of Health and Sports issued updated information about COVID-19 surveillance at 8:00 pm, Wednesday. According to the news release of the Ministry, there were 44 new cases under investigation between 6 pm on 7th April and 6 pm on 8th April.

Laboratory results of the National Health Laboratory (Yangon) on specimens from a total of 33 persons under investigation and the persons under the quarantines of homes or hospitals on 8th April have shown negative.

There are 1 positive patient at Tiddim hospital in Chin State, 12 at Waibargi Specialist hospital in Yangon, 1 at Kandawnadi hospital in Mandalay, 1 at Nay Pyi Taw People’s Hospital, 1 at Lashio People’s Hospital, and 3 patients who are being arranged to transfer to Waibargi Specialist Hospital from Pyay People’s Hospital and health conditions of 19 positive patients are good.

Case-17 Patient who is being isolated intensive care at the Pyay People’s Hospital and Patient Case-16 who is being given treatment in the isolation at the intensive care unit of Waibargi Specialist Hospital were passed away on Wednesday morning.

The case-7 patient who is 58-year-old Swiss woman, receiving medical treatment at Nay Pyi Taw People’s hospital is recovery and has tested negative for two times. So, she has been allowed to be discharged from the hospital on Wednesday evening.
