COVID-19 Report: 14 New COVID-19 Cases at 8 p.m. on May 1

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8 p.m. on Saturday reported 14 new COVID-19 cases after testing 1,596 lab specimens. 6 COVID-19 positive patients have been discharged from hospitals.

COVID-19 cases in Myanmar had reached 142,831 at 8 p.m. on the 1st of May, and 131,972 COVID-19 patients have been discharged so far.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Turkey, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain and Germany, according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 2:36pm CEST, 1 May 2021, there have been over 150 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 3.17 million deaths, reported to WHO.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
