COVID-19 Containment: Control And Emergency Response Measures Discussed

Bago Region COVID-19 Control and Emergency Response Committee held a coordination meeting on January 11th.

Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win said the preventive measures have to be accelerated in the region in order not to prevent the spread of Omicron variant, and at the same time, vaccination has to be continued with added momentum.

He also stressed to conduct COVID-19 test to the returned citizens, and to prepare the sports stadium and other places to be used as the facility quarantine centers.

The officials later reported on the preparation and emergency response measures for COVID-19 at the respective townships, administering the vaccines, and condition of COVID-19 cases in the region.
