



A coordination meeting on the work performance of the Union Government continued its third day in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday. Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the meeting and gave guidance.
The Union Ministers and union level officials reported on the work undertakings, progress and future plans. The Prime Minister made review and assessment on the respective sectors. For information sector, the Prime Minister stressed the needs to have accuracy and speedy and to make timely announcement for the public. For agriculture sector, he said it is needed to cultivate quality species with the use of good agriculture practice so as to boost production.
He stressed the needs to carry out solar-powered river pumping system to supply sufficient irrigation water. In livestock breeding, it is needed to engage in caged breeding method, and efforts must be made for preventing from depletion of fisheries resources.
The Prime Minister also urge to extend the formation of cooperative associations in regions and states with the participation of those willing to engage in cooperative works. It is also needed to encourage the industrial businesses and strive to manufacture the consumer goods and construction materials locally. He also pointed out that population and household census is crucial for development of the nation, and all are urged to cooperate in collecting accurate data. For nurturing the human resources, arrangements are underway to extend the agriculture, livestock and industrial high schools.
The Prime Minister also instructed to make road construction works in line with the set standard while making close supervision for better drainage system to prevent from floods. He also said to carry out housing projects as a long-term plan since there are the needs of shelters for the pensioners, in-service personnel and also for the public.
The Prime Minister called for cooperative efforts of all the concerned ministries for development of education, health, economic and transportation sectors of the national people. He also stressed the needs to safeguard the literature, language and culture of Myanmar and all ethnic people.
The SAC members and Joint-Secretary later made discussions on announcement of news in time and accurately, public security system, terrorist acts committed by the CRPH, NUG and PDF, and efforts for peace and stability. Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win discussed the measures to be carried out for community peace and stability, COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures, vaccination process, prevention the illegal import of goods from border areas, data entry process for citizenship cards and immigration matters, preparations for successful organizing of the union level ceremonies, and security measures.
The Prime Minister later made conclusion remarks, saying that in marching forwards to the union based on democracy and federal system, it needs to build strong economy. At present, accelerated efforts are being made to achieve economic progress, and all are urged to make cooperative efforts. He stressed the needs to carry out for progress of the nation within next six months period.
