






The Ministry of Immigration and Population held a coordination meeting on April 28 at the ministry's meeting hall in Nay Pyi Taw to discuss the implementation, under the "La Min Project," of issuing Citizenship Scrutiny Cards and Unique IDs to deliver immediate benefits to the people during the (100)-day period of the Government, in accordance with the directives contained in the President's speech.
The Union Minister for Immigration and Population, U Myint Kyaing, attended and delivered the opening speech. In his address, Union Minister U Myint Kyaing stated that, in line with the President's directives, during the Government's (100)-day period, the ministry will accelerate efforts under the "La Min Project" to issue Citizenship Scrutiny Cards in accordance with the law to citizens who have reached the age of (18) but have not yet received their Citizenship Scrutiny Cards for various reasons, as well as to students aged (10), and to collect Unique IDs under the e-ID system.
He also instructed that for those who have lost or damaged their household registration documents and Citizenship Scrutiny Cards due to natural disasters and violent incidents, or those with incomplete documentation, the ministry's staff must coordinate between relevant township head offices, verify and confirm through the respective (5)-member township-level committee, and issue household registration documents and Citizenship Scrutiny Cards while simultaneously collecting the UID.
Afterwards, Region and State Directors explained the current implementation status in their respective regions and states, and the situation regarding the issuance of Citizenship Cards and collection of UIDs under the "La Min Project" during the government's (100)-day period, as well as the requirements needed to implement the planned activities.
Subsequently, the Permanent Secretary and Directors-General from departments explained the status of activities by sector, the conditions for implementing priority immediate public services under the "La Min Project" in the respective regions and states, and the plans to fulfill operational requirements.
The Deputy Ministers supplemented the discussions on operational requirements. Following the presentations and discussions, the Union Minister provided necessary coordination and support, and delivered the closing remarks, it’s reported.
