Coordination Meeting: Meeting on enhancing cultivation capacity held

The Coordination Meeting (13/2025) on Enhancing Cultivation Capacity within Magway Region was held on the morning of September 29 at the meeting hall of the Magway Region Government Office in Magway.

At the meeting, Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin emphasized the need to improve crop cultivation capacity and increase agricultural production in the region. He urged the departments responsible for the agricultural sector to collaborate and support each other in meeting the necessary requirements to achieve the target output rates and enhance the development and progress of the agricultural sector.

Subsequently, Region Security and Border Affairs Minister Col. Moe Min Thein delivered remarks, and Region Government Office Director U Myint Than read and clarified the decisions made at the previous Coordination Meeting on the Development of the Regional Crop Sector (12/2025).

Subsequently, the Region Agriculture Director and the Region Department of Agriculture Land Management and Statistics Director presented clear reports according to their respective sectors. The Director of the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department reported that due to the heavy rainfall caused by the strong typhoon, flooding occurred in two low-lying wards of Natmauk Township. He also clearly presented the conditions of dams, reservoirs, canals, and water intake areas.

The Regional Chief Minister coordinated and addressed the necessary matters in collaboration with relevant departments based on the general discussions and presentations made by district administrative officials and attendees from the agriculture and livestock sectors.
