Coordination meeting: Development of oil crops sector in the region discussed

For the development of agricultural sector in Magway region and to meet the target, while 10 types of main crops are being prioritized, a work coordination meeting (24/2022) regarding the development of oil crops sector in the region held at regional government office meeting hall on 14th November.

At the meeting, first, Magway Region chief minister U Tint Lwin said that efforts are needed to get good quality strains, fertilizer, water in implementing for the development of agricultural sector in the region and to exceed the target,  and right agricultural techniques is needed and to be cultivated systematically. The relevant district/township oil crops sector development implementing groups are to supervise in order to cultivate two to three types of crops per year by brining out the agricultural land areas where growing one crop per year and to prioritize meeting the targets as well as to implement for the improvement of paddy yield in the region for rice sufficiency.

Afterwards, U Myo Aung, Director of Regional Government Office reported the decisions from (23/2022) work coordination meeting for the development of oil crops sector in the region and Security and Border Affairs Minister Col. Kyaw Kyaw Lin discussed about the oil crops sector development in the region.

Continuously, head of regional agricultural department and head of regional land management and statistics explained the relevant sectors and discussions are made by the district administrators and attendees in the region and the chief minister supplemented necessary upon those clarifications.
