


The Myanmar Rice Federation is selling the rice at fairer price for consumers in jointly cooperation with Myanmar Rice & Paddy Traders Association, Myanmar Rice Millers’ Association, Myanmar Paddy Producers Association, Rice Commodity Depots (Wadan) and (Bayintnaung).
They are selling the rice at the rate of 52,000 to 55,000 kyats per bag forAyeyawadyPawsan, 55,000 to 60,000kyats per bag for Kyarpyan, 75,000 to 77,000kyatsforShweboPawsan, 35,000 to 37,000kyats per bag for 90-day rice, according to official.
Consumer said “They are selling the rice at a fair price. I came with my friends to buy rice here and it is convenient for us. I’d like to say thanks to Myanmar Rice Federation for selling the rice at the fair price when the rice prices are rising. I wish they continue to sell the rice with reasonable price for a long time.”
Myanmar Rice Federation has sold the rice starting from 3rd August and they will sell it for 2 months.
Nay Lin, Chairman, Myanmar Rice Traders Association said “We have already sold 1,975 bags of rice. The most selling rice are Kyarpyan, ShweboPawsan and AyeyawadyPawsan in Yangon. We have planned to sell the rice until the end of September and we will extend the sale period depending on situation. It is encouraging for us to hear that the consumers are convenient to buy high quality rice from us. On the other hand, we have no plan to sell the rice to resellers.”
People can buy the rice with affordable price at the Rice Commodity Depot (Wadan) in Yangon from Monday to Saturday between 9:00am and 3:30pm.
