Control and Emergency Response: Bago Region COVID-19 Committee held meeting

Bago Region COVID-19 Control and Emergency Response Committee held a coordination meeting on 4th February. Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win discussed that the local transmission of COVID-19 variant Omicron has been found, and it needs to follow the preventive measures, issued by the Ministry of Health.

He stressed to make inspection at the factories, markets, banks, electricity offices and vaccination sites whether the preventive measures are being met or not. He urged all to make systematic control measures from infection against COVID-19 in the region, and to be readied for Community based Facility Quarantine.

He also instructed to strive for meeting the vaccination coverage. The officials later reported on infection of COVID-19 and prevention measures, plans for control and emergency response measures and vaccination process.
