










Under the provisions of the Constitution (2008) of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, which state that "Every citizen has the duty to undergo military training in accordance with the law and to serve in the military for the defense of the State," the People's Military Service Law has been implemented. Under the People's Military Service Summoning Order No. (3/2024), those who voluntarily and enthusiastically registered to serve, and who diligently carried out their duties for national defense and regional stability and peace as worthy citizens, have now completed their prescribed service periods.
Today, on July 1st, 2026, ceremonies to present certificates of completion of People's Military Service and to award the People's Military Service Badge were held at various Regional Military Commands. The ceremonies were attended by the Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, Chief Ministers of Regions and States, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Commanders of respective Commands and responsible officials, departmental officials, the People's Military Service members who have completed their service periods with dedication, and their family members.
At the ceremonies, Chief Ministers of Regions and States and the commanding generals delivered congratulatory speeches. Subsequently, the Chairman of the Naypyitaw Council, Chief Ministers of regions and states, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Commanders of respective Commands, and responsible officials presented certificates of completion of People's Military Service, People's Military Service Badges, and commemorative citations to the worthy citizens who had faithfully fulfilled their military service duties and completed their prescribed service periods. Following the presentations, refreshments and congratulatory luncheons were served to the attendees, and the distinguished military service completed personnel were cordially greeted and bid farewell, it’s reported.
