







“While efforts are being made to enable the education sector to stand shoulder to shoulder with the international community, the role of teachers is of paramount importance. As technology continues to rapidly evolve and advance, the education sector is also constantly developing and changing. Therefore, it is important for teachers to continuously improve themselves as lifelong learners,” remarked Kayah State Chief Minister U Aunt Maw, Monday morning, during his training completion speech at the 2025–2026 Academic Year Diploma in Education and Pedagogy (Dip. EP) training completion ceremony held at the Kayah Thazin Hall of Loikaw Education Degree College.
The Chief Minister further stated that the Union Government is giving serious attention to opening training programs such as this in order to nurture qualified teachers and promote the advancement of the education sector. He also expressed confidence that the trainees would apply the knowledge and skills they had gained to actively contribute to the development of the education sector.
Afterward, the Chief Minister presented cash of honor for the Diploma in Education and Teaching Methods trainees, which were accepted by the principal of the Education Degree College.
The trainees then performed and entertained the audience with the song “Eternal Loyalty,” and the Secretary of the State Government presented awards to the performing groups. Subsequently, the Chief Minister and officials warmly greeted and spoke with the trainees.
In Kayah State’s Diploma in Education and Teaching Methods program, 192 trainees completed Batch No. (1), and 45 trainees completed Batch No. (2), making a total of 237 trainees who have successfully completed the course, it’s reported.
