Cassidy Scheer and Martha King sawed and chopped their way to wins at the Stihl Timbersports U.S. Pro Championships this weekend in Wisconsin. The men's Pro championship events took place Saturday and produced a surprise winner in Scheer who earned his victory by a single point over the second placed finisher. U.S. Pro champ Matt Cogar finishing in fourth place added to the surprise in the men's competition.

The women's Pro took place Sunday with King finally reaching the throne after a second place finish last year and a third place finish in 2017.  Competitors take part in logging related events in which they saw or chop their way through wood as quickly as possible, receiving more points for a faster finish. Men compete in six events while women take part in three.
