Closing and Awarding ceremony: Inter-Region/State traditional martial arts contest

The closing and awarding ceremony of Inter-Region/State traditional martial arts or Myanma Thaing contest 2022 was held at Wunna Theikdi Stadium-B in Nay Pyi Taw in line with COVID-19 health guidelines on Monday.

The event was attended by State Administration Council members Mahn Nyein Maung, Daw Aye Nu Sein, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, U Maung Har, Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers and departmental officials. The male and female final matches of the respective weight classes were held.

At the prize awarding ceremony, the deputy minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Union Ministers presented individual medals and cash awards to the winners of respective weight classes for various events. SAC members also presented trophies to the best fighters and the National Championship trophy, women championship trophy and overall championship trophy to  the winners of  Mandalay region teams.

The event aimed to produce new young generations who are interested in Myanma martial arts and to emerge young, strong and fit athletes who can take pride for the nation.
